About Barre Fit...
The Barre Fit Method was developed by Lotte Berk, a pioneer in the same sense as Joseph Pilates. Both were looking for movement systems to repair and strengthen the body. At Spring Pilates, we teach a method that fuses many Barre Methods together, pulling from Ballet Barre work, gym Fitness classes, free weight training and even old- fashioned Aerobics. Barre Fit classes always challenge us, as we work for long periods of time in each muscle group. Most of us find that we get very fast results when Barre Fit is added into our routines. 2 - 3 classes per week are recommended for optimal results.
Kelton completed the Balance Point Barre Certification in 2015. This method is described as a safe effective program based in sound anatomical, dance, and Pilates foundations. I emphasize knee, foot, and back health and alignment heavily in my instruction, its a great way to pick up the pace and fine tone the body.
Natalie obtained her Barre Fit Certification through Open Studio in the Spring of 2015. Her Barre Fit Certification is based on the Lotte Berk system, which is highly complementary to Pilates and Yoga.
